Date: Wed 18 October 2023

Time: 9.30am to 4.00pm

Venue: Cloncurry Community Precinct, 37 Scarr Street Cloncurry

This event has been planned following our community consultations in North West Queensland about how to get the region on a stronger footing to respond to a possible future Emergency Animal Disease (EAD) outbreak.

This training will strengthen the partnership needed between Industry and Government for a well coordinated approach to EAD preparedness and response.

What you will get by attending this training:

• Strengthen your own property biosecurity planning and EAD preparedness

• Increase your knowledge of how Queensland responds to an EAD

• Understand how you might play a role in an EAD response

• Meet others involved and join an important network - with other key Industry and Government personnel

• Contribute your ideas for stronger, better and more innovative biosecurity preparedness in NW Queensland

This training is part of a continuous improvement effort to give community members in NW Queensland the knowledge and skills they need to respond to an Emergency Animal Disease.

If you live and work in North West Queensland, this training is for you.

Towards the end of the workshop, we will be asking for your ideas on next steps, and how to take them, for EAD preparedness in NW Queensland
